Sandy Relief Jersey Shore.

As many know last week the northern eastern coast line was hit with Hurricane Sandy and destroyed thousands of homes and memories. So, before I get started I would just like to say that I am donating 50% of all sales on my etsy to the Red Cross Sandy Relief. I have many pictures of the Jersey Shore on there (mainly Asbury, Ocean Grove, and Point Pleasant) from my recent trip home.

Seeing my home destroyed is heartbreaking. Although I have moved away, it is still my home. I can't look at photos without crying and thinking of all those affected. JERSEY STRONG is what we are and we are rebuilding and coming to together to help those who need it... but it will never be the same. New memories will be made... but not without be reminded of the old ones. My family, as many families are still without power. Luckily, they still have their home... but many don't.

I grew up on the shore, going to the many boardwalks and beaches... mainly Jenkinsons in Point Pleasant, riding the rides, playing the games, eating dip and dots for the first time. Or even going to the aquarium and seeing Lucy the blind the seal! Point Pleasant wasn't hit as hard as some of the other boardwalks, but it will take time to rebuild them.

As I got older, I would go to the beach when I was having a bad day... or even a fantastic one. Picking up a friend or two along the way. Or simply driving to AC because of boredom or to Seaside to people watch and see how many girls got their stiletos stuck in the planks. Going to Belmar beach strictly to tan and go in the water.

Me and Matt had our first unoffical date on the Jenkinsons boardwalk. He bought us ride tickets and I was so nervous and unsure of everything... so I bought fun house tickets. We would go to the beach at night and just talk, it's where we fell in love. Our first kiss was on the Spring Lake beach and he proposed to me on a more private beach in Point. There were dead jellyfish all across the beach (but it was too dark to see) and there were hundreds of stars out that night. Never thought I would see it washed away.

Jenkinsons Boardwalk

In September I went home to Jersey for a week to see friends and family! One of the things I miss most is being minutes away from the boardwalk and beach. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the beaches here... but there's nothing like the Jersey Shore! Here's just a few shots of my favorite things along the boardwalk!

Experiencing Charleston

Next weekend me and Matt leave for Charlotte! I'm going to miss Charleston a lot. It was our first home away from Jersey, being completely independent! We're trying to put in as much time as we can soaking in Charleston before we leave! Here's some photos from around downtown, driving around and Isle of Palms!

While I was in Jersey I was able to take pictures of one of my best friend's Megan and her boyfriend Jorge (aka Pun). We went to the Ocean County Park and they are super adorable. More pictures soon to come of Jersey and the wedding!

It's been awhile

It's been a crazy month! Besides working more hours at the Jewelry store, having several gigs and going on vacation back home to Jersey, getting Matt's transfer date to Charlotte (which is the end of October) and trying to pack I haven't had much time for updates. However, I'm back and have some awesome shots coming through out the week.

Before I set off to Jersey I was able to go to a horse farm and take some photos of my grandmother's friend and a horse she's training, along with some others. It was inspirational seeing the love she passion for these animals!

First Family Photo Shoot!

It's been a really long time since I last posted. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I want my blog/business to run. Every time I think I have it, I change my mind. Well anyway... I had my first family photo shoot! They were a beautiful family and so nice! I'm very thankful they allowed me to take their photos.

Here's a little sneak peak and some of my favorite photos so far!

Enjoy!
